For this session, Dr. Manuel Biona, director of the Center for Research & Training of DBTC, will present their study on the processing and promotion of waste cooking oil as an alternative fuel for the jeepney, the most popular public utility vehicle in the Philippines. Pilot commercial demonstrations of the waste cooking oil fuel are currently being done in partnership with the local jeepney association and the municipal government of Los Baños, Laguna. This study is being undertaken with support from iBoP Asia.
